We are what we are, we need what we need, we don’t get to decide.
Nature has already done that for us.
Our responsibility, is to understand what is required for effective nourishment, effective exercise, rest, hydration, balance and sustainability.
Given the saturation of propaganda marketing (fads), this can make things very hard for people wanting to achieve that oasis of health and fitness. When those fad processes who do not possess those fundamental principles of self care, hone in on the consumer without the know abouts of those principles, it’s like taking candy from a baby.
Your greatest self defence to save your time, positively programme your mind to your self development, make sustainable long lasting results, is to learn, learn the universal principles of what are, and apply them to your unique circumstances. Your process and mine can look very different, however the principles are the same.
Exercise – What you enjoy, what gives you the results you want, what gives you energy and doesn’t drain you, what doesn’t create joint pain, biomechanics, muscular exercise balance, posture correction, mobility.
Nutrition – Understanding what the body needs and why, how to meal prep, how to shop, portion sizes, pre exercise, exercise recovery, energy needs based on genetic make up (age, height, weight, gender, specific requirements), exercise frequency/intensity, daily activity levels, occupation activity.
Hydration – How to balance the electrolytes and fluid intake.
Rest/recovery/sleep – When to rest, how to rest, sleep quality, sleep duration, exercise conditioning.
All of that of course is based around the mind-set, perceptual positioning, understanding of of a holistic approach, growth orientated, progressive development orientated all ultimately systematically worked into a scheduled planned approach.
Work that in to life’s other compulsory’s, work, family etc and you are on a roll with nothing but momentum ahead of you.
It is aaaaaaall about establishing that balance in life, commitment to learning that process will lead you to the gold rush of health, sustainability, happiness and confidence.
Remember, we only know what we know, and there is a whole world in what we don’t know that hosts further progression and development. Being open minded to that notion to identify, learn and apply will be your life’s game changer.
Lastly, yes, things can sometimes be overwhelming at a first glance or when that ‘new’ approach is unfamiliar, however with the right system, guidance, support and application, it’s actually the easiest thing to do.
It’s just a question of knowing and applying… over and over again.
