What has to be different this year compared to years gone by?
How can you maintain momentum through the year whilst sustainably making healthy progress?
I’m not talking about shedding some lbs by eating less food, a monkey can lose or gain weight by eating less or more food.
I’m talking about developing your mindset towards yourself, your personal relationship with your health, fitness, and wellbeing, the things that really make confidence and self-esteem.
Your ability to still show up when you’re not feeling like it so much.
Taking ownership to work on this as a development project for yourself with the multiple systems that make a successful health, fitness, and wellbeing status is where it’s at.
One of the first things is to accept that this takes time, and it’s not an overnight process.
The moment to commit is instant, what has to follow, is a process, it’s a daily agenda towards growth littered with action…Not lip service.
Digging deeper than calories in/calories out, sins, diets, instant abs, cardio machine workouts, obsession with the scales will serve you in the long run.
Learn how to:
- Exercise your body safely, effectively, and efficiently.
- Nourish your body with balance in relation to your individuality.
- Truly understand hydration by consuming the right electrolytes and amount of fluids.
- Get enough rest, recovery, and sleep.
- Reduce stress.
- Set goals, I mean real goals, in a structured way that make things realistic to achieve but still on a large scale.
- Create balance and consistency in your life so that you have control and clarity.
- Overcoming challenging life situations but still remaining productive and in control of your health, fitness, and wellbeing… Life doesn’t wait for you to get better so you can start again.
- Saying no when needed and yes when needed.
- Stop comparing to other people as well as social media, FYI lots of social media content is a false reality.
Practicing that in steps and stages will give your body no choice but to change, can you see that by forcing physical change less, and by focusing on the version you have to become to be your best self, you make those results happen as a bi-product?
Focusing on how you’re not there yet, will only piss on the good work you are doing and make you feel rubbish.
To get to C, you have to get to B… but A has to be the genuine foundation to start, otherwise, you’ll never make the traction needed to make REAL change.
It sounds a lot, but it’s not, it’s simple.
You’ll be surprised at the impact making a few small changes can have on your mind and your body.
Start now, and that’s it, you’ve started.
Oooooorrrr, keep trying new diets and making the same mistakes.
This is your time to smash it now.
