Blog Title: It’s Time to Stop ‘CELL’ing Yourself Short – Your Health & Fitness on a Microscopic Level.

When it comes to health, fitness & well-being, it’s important not to ‘cell’ ourselves short 😉

If we do?

Hello lethargy, regular illness, and an unfit body (inside and out).

Nah thanks ✋🏻

Applying the basic principles of adequate self-care for our mind and bodies is literally the gateway to an energetic life.

In a fit strong body.

Because yes, it optimises our cells

thus up regulating our 12 bodily systems.

Without our systems functioning coherently on the inside, we have no right to expect sustainable results on the outside (fat loss. building muscle, flat stomach, getting rid of the muffin top, adding shape to the frame etc, endurance, strength, flexibility).

It’s like taking a wazz into the wind and expecting not to get wet and smelly… no no no, be smarter than that, pee down wind 😝

What have cells got to do with it?

Cellular health is the cornerstone of human health. Every living being is made up of cells, and the health of these cells plays a crucial role in the overall health and well-being of an individual. A strong immune system, high energy levels, and a robust defence against illness and disease are all dependent on the health of our cells. In this blog post, we will explore why cellular health is fundamental for human health and our fitness goals (even if they differ).

What are Cells?

Cells are the basic unit of life. They are the building blocks of all living organisms, including humans. The human body is made up of  each with a specific function. For example, muscle cells are responsible for movement, nerve cells for transmitting messages, and red blood cells for carrying oxygen. They are also responsible for burning fat and building muscle.

Why is Cellular Health Important?

The health of our cells is vital for our overall health and well-being. Healthy cells function optimally, allowing us to perform at our best physically and mentally. On the other hand, unhealthy cells can lead to various health problems, including obesity, diabetes, cancer, and depression.

If these little beauts aren’t happy, we aren’t happy.

Healthy cells = healthy us.

Unhealthy cells = unhealthy us.

This isn’t based on appearance, it’s based on habit, and how our body functions.

Energy Levels

Our cells are responsible for producing energy in the form of ATP (Adenosine triphosphate). ATP is the energy currency of the body and is required for all cellular processes. If our cells are healthy, they can produce ATP efficiently, providing us with high energy levels. However, if our cells are unhealthy, the production of ATP is compromised, resulting in low energy levels, fatigue, and lethargy. More ATP means a different energy, a positive productive one that has perpetual enthusiasm to live an active fit lifestyle with comfort all year round… yeah that’s actually a thing.

Immunity

A strong immune system is crucial for fighting off infections and diseases. Our immune system is made up of various cells including white blood cells that defend our body against harmful pathogens. Healthy cells are essential for the optimal functioning of the immune system. If our cells are unhealthy, our immune system can become compromised, leaving us vulnerable to infections and diseases. Meaning low enthusiasm, inflammation, sucky workouts, poor recovery, and low motivation. Not so helpful for that all year round decent healthy lifestyle.

Body Composition – Fat Loss & Muscle Gain

The health of our cells affects our body composition. Healthy cells can efficiently metabolize fat, & build lean muscle leading to a healthy body weight and composition. On the other hand, unhealthy cells can lead to fat accumulation & muscle loss, resulting in obesity and other serious health problems (diabetes, osteoarthritis, CV disease, mental health decline and to be honest much more). A healthy physical body isn’t about cracking walnuts with our glutes and looking great on the beach, they are bi-products of a decent quality of life through a nourishing lifestyle that create a healthy body from healthy cells. No that doesn’t mean we have to ‘give up‘ the things we like. We are capable of walking around in our skin feeling all confident and awesome whilst still enjoying pizza, beer, and cake. Seriously.

Brain Health – The Most Important Aspect

Our mental health is affected by the health of our cells. The brain is made up of cells called neurons that are responsible for transmitting messages. Healthy neurons enable us to function optimally, they allow us to think clearly and help us stay mentally sharp. Unhealthy neurons, on the other hand, can lead to mental health problems such as depression and anxiety.

Our mindset is our driver, it’s the direction, the outlook, motivation, and enthusiasm.

Our bodies follow our minds, this is the linchpin to successful living,

Another huge factor for mindset success besides cellular brain health itself, is our self-development work. Our thoughts beliefs, attitude, focus, stories & communication all have a HUGE impact on brain health.

Conclusion

Cellular health is fundamental to human health. Healthy cells are essential for providing us with high energy levels, a strong immune system, a healthy body composition, and most importantly a healthy mind. If our cells are unhealthy, we are prone to fat accumulation, muscle loss, weak bones, lethargy, and depression. Therefore, it is essential to prioritise cellular health through the way we manage our lifestyles. Human health is what brings the healthy weight loss, fitness, and the body transformation. If those things are expected beyond human health first, expect to yo-yo.

In the up and coming blogs, I’ll highlight the key areas to help optimise cellular health and explain why.

Relevant knowledge is potential, and how we apply it is power.

Better health, better body, better confidence, better life.
