The most common area people say they want to transform is…
The core region.
A flat stomach.
No ‘overhang’.
No tightness of clothing around the tum tum.
maybe even some abs.
The most common acceptance of limitation is that people ‘can’t do it’, or have a massive miss-aligning view of this and give up in the process.
Which is the biggest load of BS.
We all can.
Human beings are designed to be fit, lean, strong, healthy, and energetic.
We are also designed to adapt.
If our bodies can adapt to sedentary living and non-beneficial habits (weight gain, fat-gain, weakened immunity, lower bone density, lower muscle mass, & lethargy), which the average person does, our bodies can easily adapt back to our natural selves of being fit, strong, and healthy.
This requires many things.
That demand in itself is where many fall at the first time of asking
Why?
Overwhelm.
Let’s make it less overwhelming for you from this point on.
Three main things to focus on to get a flat tum tum.
1. Being receptive to change is the first thing.
There’s no point in even discussing mindset or strategy if old patterns are preventing new healthy ones from being implemented.
This involves moving on from fear, limiting thoughts, having weak personal boundaries, making decisions off of emotions, and/or being stubborn to accepting help that can speed the process up.
Self-preservation and ego do nothing but slow things down.
2. Break free from commercialism and the ‘diet culture’.
Commercialism isn’t there to serve health and wellness, it’s there to make maximum profit, plain and simple…yep, even all of the ‘sugar-free’ products that boast ‘extra nutrition‘ (protein Weetabix is the funniest).
Whilst we are here, ‘diets’ will also mess us up, we don’t require a ‘diet‘ we must improve our knowledge, education, and implementation of those concepts within our contextual world for individuality… thus, improving YOUR diet.
Yes, that WILL take time.
Guess we can say this is a hidden bonus point, dropping instant gratification.
Cookie cutter rules simply do not serve us or our health.
They serve multi-million dollar companies whose biz plan is to keep people coming back and back and back.
How do we break free?
Focus on human health by consuming natural foods provided by planet earth, stop relying on shitamin pills and potions to get ‘all of our nutrients from’, nature has already done that for us from food (unless you require special support from supplementation).
(some supplements are highly beneficial to plug in some gaps, only after our diet is the best it can be first, the mistake is where people go all out and buy a load of pills so they can ‘still eat normal’)
3. Pledge to change the mindset.
A mindset that creates a specific type of momentum is geared to that very outcome.
To get different outcomes, we MUST adopt a new way of thinking.
That starts with us being at the top of the priority list and high on our value system.
(Above laziness, Netflix, alcohol, being exploited by the job etc)
This is done through a change of perspective, creating a high personal standard and a mantra to live by, goal setting (especially daily), planning, scheduling (creates accountability) and not being a crybaby when we think we should be moving faster than we are (it’s that instant gratification thing again).
Patience is a virtue.
As long as it’s accompanied by consistent action.
Focus on the strategy that places health first from a sustainable way of living, in conjunction with all goal avenues (yes the physical ones, but also the habitual ones).
Next blog/vlog I’ll go through the 6 main systems required for actually making that flat tum tum happen.
If you’ve read this far, well done, you have shown signs of patience.
I’ll end on this.
The steps highlighted in this blog have to be put in place in order for the next systems to be effective.
See you next week 😁
