Consider this notion in the context of health and fitness…enthusiasm is common, endurance is rare….

Well, ONLY, when the mental preparation isn’t done well.

When you decorate a room, walls need sanding, filling, rubbed down again, maybe plastered, dust sheets need placing on the floor, base layers of paint need applying, more rubbing down, you get the point…then the final colour of the room (bright orange obvs ;)…) can be applied, nobody see’s the prep work, they only see the outcome.

So you want to lose weight, burn fat, build muscle, get fit, obtain and maintain a new goal? Enthusiasm and motivation for the outcome will ALWAYS be there, which is great, however that room needs prepping.

Set the goals, identify the systems, plan those actions, maintain balance with everything else in your life, work on the psychology of 1% better each day and MAINTAIN the thought that, transformation comes in the actions that support the vision after the act of the pledge to commitment, AND on a long enough time line, you will receive more and more of the external things you desire.

Prep your room, light the fire and when it comes to applying the colour, it’ll stick better, be more vibrant and last longer.

Your health and fitness is the same.

Psychological prep, that’s the endurance.

Then enthusiasm and endurance combined, makes for a productive machine full of vitality and results.
