Or at least are you working on becoming your best version?
I don’t mean being just lean and mean, well, having a healthy weight management and body composition is part of it.
I’m talking about the version of yourself that creates that genuine sustainable outcome as a bi-product of doing the personal work.
The version of you that has
- Personal credibility
- Personal self-respect, self-esteem, and confidence.
- Yourself high up on the priority list
- That has the balls to say NO when necessary.
- Yes to you and your needs, growth, and development.
- The mindset to handle challenging life scenarios and still values your health enough to do what must be done.
Ok, this list could go on forever.
The sad thing is, all of that and a million other great positive things are there for the taking but not accessed by so many.
Human beings are great at building a cage of limitation fueled by the personal (victim) story, and then throwing the key away.
“I’ll never lose weight, I’ve never been sporty, I’ll just ‘enjoy’ life”…by eating processed junk food, sitting on the arse doing nothing and creating cynical views of people who are successfully fit and healthy, not because of luck or fortune, but because of choices.
“I can’t afford a gym membership or coaching services, I have to prioritize my family”.…Spends more money on a night out than the investment for a gym membership/coaching services, has the latest iPhone, spends money on alcohol, cigarettes, unused subscriptions, takeaways, junk food, gambling, and god knows what else…
“I haven’t got the time to workout, I’m too busy with work”… Works 9-5 and has a minimum of 7.5 hours of time to utilize before and after, and still get time to chill out.
(If any of that hit a nerve, good, it’ll help you grow, if you are willing to take ownership)
All that the excuses etc come down to are this…
It’s something that EVERY human being on the planet has.
Fears, doubts, insecurities, and the vulnerability to dark the side of failure.
None of that is to judge, attack, or push down…
It’s provocation for realization that YOU CAN step up for yourself, breakthrough limiting beliefs, achieve that weight loss, fat loss, muscle, energy, confidence, self-esteem, personal validation, self-credibility and so so so so much more.
Fears doubts, and insecurities, are there to be overcome, they do not define you, your health, fitness, and wellbeing management.
And failure.
Well, that’s what success is built on right?
Why’s that so scary? That’s how we learn.
How did you learn to walk?
By falling over hundreds of times…
The ONLY thing that will ever hold you back is you.
Your best version of you exists, its just requires:
- Ownership.
- Help.
- Relevant knowledge.
- Practice of that knowledge in the arena of life.
- Goal Setting.
- Planning.
- Consistency.
- Patience.
- Fast recoil to setbacks and emotional life challenges.
- A thick skin to opinions and judgments from people who feel threatened by your growth.
The best version of you is on the other side of those.
It would be a tragedy to go through life not accessing your best version.
For yourself and all of the loved ones around you.
There’s another level for you.
And that level will possess things you didn’t even know that could exist for you.
You just have to be brave enough to go for it.
I mean this in the most supportive way possible.
Drop the excuses, ignore the ego, abandon the ‘quick fix’ mentality, start the process of permanant change, and be bloody patient for god sake.
Much of the lovings.
