Stuck in a rut?
Wanting better results?
The new ‘diet’ hasn’t lasted?
Gaining weight and you don’t know why?
You are pissed at your current place of being regarding your health and you want to do something about it?
Here’s the ‘finger on it moment’…
It’s a caveat, it’s not one finger, it’s many…
It’s not one thing. it’s many.
It’s a combination of many many things that create a labyrinth of desired momentum created by the foundation of balance, appropriate action and consistency on a daily basis. Equally, this goes the other way, today I shall shed some light and hopefully help you on your health conquest.
imbalance of one thing throws out the balance of the other making one big imbalance, this then creates a false illusion that one thing needs to change to fix the problem.
For example…
a common one “I want to lose weight”. just throwing this out there, it’s actually fat loss, ‘weight’ can involve muscle mass degeneration which actually is unhealthy and creates internal stress on the body, especially with a crazy arse diet that promotes some kind of unhealthy calorie deficit with misguiding influences that starve the body, yes, they exist…in abundance (unfortunately)
So, the identification of this approach is adopted, the focus is on weight loss weight loss weight loss weight loss..diet diet diet diet…time passes, motivation fades, old habits creep back in, adherence drops off, the approach doesn’t work, the association to healthy living is viewed as ‘unattainable’, because you ‘tried’ and it didn’t work…
I mean this in the most supportive way, tried everything but what actually works.
So, lets say that the diet is one of a true attempt for sustainable weight/fat loss, fitness, muscle gain, confidence, longevity, permanent, lifestyle change…and it still didn’t work, and it’s not based around some kind of alternative method disguised as the ‘secret’ for calorie restriction, still absent with the desired results? What’s happening, why isn’t it ‘wokring’?…(what’s your definition of working?) what else could it be?
Firstly I am going to say well done to ANYBODY for making the choice to want to improve, that’s big. I always commend that.
The trap people fall into, is the trap of the wolf disguised as help and almost kind of influenced into a pit of self-doubt through something non-serving/fundamentally flawed.. If I followed a ‘diet’ that wasn’t balanced i’d drop off with that as well, because it wouldn’t be truly serving. You shouldn’t be in a position to have to ‘stick to a diet’, you should be raising the standard of yours, part of that does mean blocking out the noise.
So, diet development yes, exercise yes, hydration, sleep yes….the key with it all? To lose the weight, burn the fat, feel bloody great in your skin, the energy and confidence…it’s the acceptance to the project of you and employing multiple little systems into your week that make your life easier and more free flowing without big ball breaker mental hurdles to over come when it comes to your self care plan. ‘Later’ with a plan never comes.
I’m the first to say I don’t want to spend much time cooking, I want to spend more time making these blogs, developing programmes, training my legendary clients, marketing etc…so I run a system that allows me to prep like a boss in order for me to be more productive and to help improve my association to health and time leverage. That may be different for you, you may like strutting around, dancing to smooth fm in your undies whilst making your fav dish…each to their own, i’m not here to judge. systems are still systems.
Here are the areas that create imbalance, and feelings of disassociation to self-heath success and self confidence from within…
- The week to weekend association, and the notion of relaxing and enjoying ones self to eating crap. 5:2 is poo.
- Scheduling imbalance.
- Following a restrictive dietary process.
- Exercise is imbalanced.
- Sleep imbalance.
- Not enough water / higher calorie beverages, yes even that ‘diet’ crap, the sweeteners still make your insulin levels spike.
- Expectation of physical change without the relevant application.
- Highlighting physical change as the be all and end all of progress and quitting when desires aren’t met…
So, really…the message is balance and having the whole house in order.
All of this can feel and sound overwhelming, trust me it’s not, that’s only a thought evoked from previous non-serving experiences.
You have the capabilities to easily transform your health, to lose the weight (in context), to burn the fat, build the muscle, feel like a don, to bounce off of the walls with energy, to feel MORE confident in your day to day life, ultimately to access that better version of you as a being.
Our minimum standard is our self-care, regardless of our happiness, success in other areas of our lives, we instantly elevate to a higher level with a healthy body and a healthy mind.
Go and get yours!
Create your balance, smash everything that you do, make that time for yourself and enjoy the process. The ‘prizes’ so to speak shall fall into your lap with momentum and progress…and of course with the correct realistic systems and mental focus.
