We all want that grand vision NOW!

In relation to health and fitness, the energy levels, the fitness, the body, the fat loss…all that jazz. That notion, without the appropriate principles creates…yo-yo’ing, confusion and a crappy relationship to the notion of health and fitness.

And to some degree, now can be now, in the moment of commitment to the cause with the aspects of learning and development, that’s where the journey is enhanced and sustained, that’s where the progress is made, that’s when you feel great, that’s when you look back in shock as to far you have come, that’s where things are sustainable.

During that phase of development, that’s when people tend to quit on themselves.

The main culprits that overwhelm people are:

  • Comparison to others at different point of development, social media is the worst for this (you do have time for your health, big boned doesn’t exist, no you do not have to be ‘sporty’.
  • Following an unsustainable process that inhibits the body of its natural needs…commonly know as, THE FAD, the ‘quick fix’, which creates crashes and relapses.
  • ‘Falling off the wagon’, attempting to work out more than what is realistic for that moment in time, not getting enough rest and recovery following training, creating musculature imbalance that leads to injuries, not fuelling the body efficiently.
  • In addition to the last point, the psychological barrier to what effective exercise actually is, the ‘all or nothing approach’ and an unrealistic attachment to that theory.

like anything, it’s all about progression and making that 1% improvement day by day with the acquisition of new skills as you go along, further improving your mental processing and physical output.

It’s ok to ‘smart small’ as well as having massive goals and dreams, actually, it’s necessary, ESPECIALLY when it comes to the management of your health and fitness journey.

Big goals that excite you, broken down into systems, into smaller actions, into repetition, into consistency… a month, a year, 2 years, 5 years later, you’ll be the vision of what you want now. YOU. JUST. HAVE. TO. BE. WILLING…and to work with the sustainable principles. None of this ‘new diet’ nonsense, ‘instant ab plan’, ’round booty challenge’, ‘chiselled chest in 20 days’ crap.

So right now, stop the comparisons to others, they are not you, you Vs. you is what matters, set those goals, start small, scale up when you are able to and enjoy making that daily progress, then you will fly like an eagle.
